8-storey office tower is now finished

On the malaysian island of Penang, Orange Blu has developed two masterplans for production locations for B. Braun Melsungen AG, a world-wide leading provider of healthcare products. Offices, manufacturing and social spaces are now accomodated on a total of 150000 square meters of floor area.
The first of these masterplans, Campus 1, consists of two linear wings, set askew and defining a central landscaped park. The buildings have expansive rooves, ideal for the tropical climate and inspired by local examples found in the nearby historical center of Georgetown. As a connecting element, the so called five-foot-walkway is a collonade that provides protection against sun and rain. Hovering over the main entrance is the transparently glazed canteen, the campuses social magnet. Here also stands the 8-storey office tower, a landmark clearly visible from the adjacent Airport.
Planning of Campus 1 began in 2008. The buildings were completed at the beginning of 2017.
